AgriAnalyse is a professional premise provider and a competent research environment in questions related to agriculture and politics. We work with national, international and internal organizational issues within our prioritized focus areas. The employees of AgriAnalyse have an interdisciplinary background and expertise from various social science (economics, political science, geography) and agricultural science (agricultural economics, veterinary, ecology) traditions. The company is owned by the Norwegian federation of agricultural cooperatives and Norwegian Farmers union.

The board has a head from the Norwegian federation of agricultural cooperatives and three members from the cooperatives Nortura (eggs and meat), Tine (milk) and Norske Felleskjøp (grains and inputs), two members from the Norwegian Farmers union and one representative from the employed (observer).

Agrianalyse publishes 10-15 reports each year, in addition to numerous presentations in seminars and conferences. In addition we are commenting in the newspapers, radio and television in addition to personal comments on agriculture and economics of production and trade.

A sum up of 2023:

In 2023, AgriAnalyse has published seven reports and one note in AgriAnalyse's report series, as well as a joint report with NIBIO and an independent publication on The Norwegian food value chain. In addition, the book; "Can agriculture feed the world?" was revised as part of the project portfolio, even if it was published at Universitetsforlaget. In total, there were eleven official releases for the year. This has been with a theme that spans a larger area such as cost growth in agriculture of Trøndelag, Norwegian agricultural trade, value creation in the hinterland, veterinary coverage in Norway, agricultural and climate policy in the EU and food self-sufficiency of Norway.

2023 was a more normal year for AgriAnalyse as well , after a few corona-affected years, where project access has been increasing throughout the year. We have been able to work broadly and effectively with various issues related to the agricultural value chain and production in Norway in general. We have had good cooperation with various partners and clients, such as with NIBIO on an important self-sufficiency report and Ruralis on income development. AgriAnalyse has otherwise delivered on behalf of Norgesgruppen about The Norwegian value chain from farm to table. Furthermore, the Norwegian Veterinary Association has been a good partner for veterinary coverage and the Oppland and Hedmark Center Party commissioned a report on value creation in the interior.

With the strong price trend and the uncertainty surrounding the international supply situation, we have for some years collaborated with Yara Norge on seminars related to the international situation. In 2023, this was taken over by Yara international , which on 1 November organized an international seminar at Ridehuset , Akershus, where the book: "Can agriculture feed the world?" was launched. In May, AgriAnalyse organized a well-attended breakfast meeting on the Norwegian value chain at Sentralen, Oslo.

The lecture activity is now back to its former extent, with far more physical lectures than digital ones (4 ) out of the 58 lectures held. The combination of physical lectures and meetings are important meeting places for AgriAnalyse both to showcase the work that is being done, meet agriculture and get information and meet new customers.

The investigations, as well as our general expertise and professional curiosity, give rise to both separate articles and editorial coverage in newspapers, radio, television and magazines. This has also been the case this year with Spann from NRK radio and television, as well as TV2, to Nationen, Bondebladet and regional media.
